Hannah Darling fought off a late comeback bid from Beth Coulter to continue her dream summer and win the R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship at Fulford.

The Girls’ Amateur Championship will be played at Fulford from 10-14 August 2021.
Having staged The R&A Girls’ U16 Amateur Championship on back-to-back occasions in 2018 and 2019, the York venue will now welcome the Girls’ event in 2021.

The first stage of the Championship includes two rounds of stroke play qualifying. The 64 lowest scores over the 36 holes will compete in the match play stage of the Championship.
Each match will consist of one round of 18 holes, including the Final. The Challenge Cup is awarded to the winner, while The Leven Trophy is awarded to the runner-up.
The following awards are presented to players returning the lowest scores over the two stroke play qualifying rounds;
The Lady Heathcoat–Amory Memorial Medal for players over 16 years of age, The Todd Bowl for players under 16 years of age and The Fairhaven Pheasant for players under 14 years of age.
A Team Trophy is awarded to the team (nation) with the lowest aggregate score over the two stroke play qualifying rounds
The first R&A Girls Amateur Championship was played in 1919 at Stoke Poges.
The winner is awarded the challenge cup and gold medal and past winners include Major champions and Solheim Cup players such as Anna Nordqvist, Suzann Pettersen, Azahara Munoz and the 2017 Ricoh Women’s British Open Champion Georgia Hall.
Emma Spitz's win at Ardglass in 2018 saw her secure a spot at the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship in 2019.
