Enville Golf Club - 22-24 April 2022

The 2022 R&A Girls’ U16 Amateur Championship will take place at Enville from 22-24 April.

First staged in 2018, the event attracts leading players from across the world.

Enville, the Staffordshire venue, was founded in 1935. It is one of the finest examples of heathland golf in the UK. The facilities were gradually extended over a period of years until 1983, with the two 18-hole Highgate and Lodge Courses now both popular. Back in 2010, one of the most extensive practice facilities in the Midlands was added.

In 2020, Enville became the latest among a growing list of English clubs to sign up to the R&A’s Women in Golf Charter.

2022 Championship

The inaugural Girls’ U16 Amateur Championship took place at Fulford near York in 2018.

Scotland’s Hannah Darling holed a closing 40-foot birdie putt to seal a dramatic victory, denying Beth Coulter from Ireland.

A year later, Italy's Francesca Fiorellini claimed success. The then 13-year-old sealed a three-shot victory over Scotland's Carmen Griffiths, again at Fulford.
