The Curtis Cup is the most prestigious team trophy for women amateur golfers and contested biennially by teams representing Great Britain and Ireland and the United States.

First played in 1932, many well-known players have competed, including two-time winning Solheim Cup captain Catriona Matthew, Dame Laura Davies and AIG Women’s Open Champion Georgia Hall. The format is three foursomes and three fourball matches on each of the first two days, and eight singles matches on the final day.

2024 Match

Sunningdale Golf Club will host the 43rd staging of the match on 30 Aug - 1 Sept 2024. Sunningdale is one of the world’s finest heathland courses and has hosted numerous prestigious championships, including the AIG Women’s Open, the Senior Open presented by Rolex and qualifying for The Open as well as the British Masters, the European Open and the Seve Trophy. Sunningdale has also hosted some of The R&A’s amateur championships and international matches, and the Walker Cup was contested there in 1987.
