The Walker Cup is the premier team match in men’s amateur golf, contested biennially by leading players from Great Britain and Ireland and the United States of America.
The 51st staging of the match will be held at Lahinch, Ireland, on 5 and 6 of September 2026.
Played on historic links terrain, the contest tests elite talent across foursomes and singles match play.
In 2025 USA won the 50th staging of the Walker Cup at Cypress Point, recording a 17-9 triumph. Only one point ahead going into the fourth and final session of matches, the home team managed eight-and-a-half points from the ten afternoon singles and surged to victory.
The Walker Cup began in 1922 and the United States of America leads the series 40-9, having won the last five contests, with one match tied.GB&I Team
